Northern Exposure
Tim Hill

It has been two (2) months since I announced that I am resigning as the support group leader for the Northern Territory. I am surprised that no one has called to inquire about taking over that position.

It is not easy to run a support group. But without one, where would you be? Where would you have gotten your information? Where would you have met people that are dealing with the same problems that you are dealing with if it wasnąt for the support group!?

It is my suggestion that if you want this support group to continue, please attend the May support group meeting in Flint, at Mclaren Hospital. We are planning on having a guest speaker. After Dr. Anbe is finished, we will have a short business meeting about the support group to decide what we are going to do from here. I have not scheduled any meeting past May. I have also asked Barb Schmatz to mark the Flint/Saginaw support group meeting as temporarily suspended after the May meeting.

On a personal note, I would like to thank Art, Barb, Michelle, Fred and Evy for all of there support and help in running this Chapter and this support group program. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep this Chapter running and even more to spread the word in the awareness of Tourette.

Remember that the June meeting in Southfield is the meeting where the officers of the Chapter are nominated and elected. Please plan on attending this very important meeting. These Chapter officers need your help and support, not only for election to another term in office but as a concerned parent to get involved and help with the Chapter.

Editor's Note: This is the last installment of Northern Exposure, unless someone comes forward to continue writing it.
