The Bowl-A-Thon is just a few days away, March 11, so I hope your family is already registered with the nearest lanes and you are busily gathering donations from friends, neighbors and co-workers. Remember, if you have over $50.00 in donations you bowl free. Otherwise, it's $6.00 for two games and pizza. Turn in all donations when you come to bowl.

These sites should be convenient to most TS families. All bowling starts at 1:00 p.m., except at Total Sports, which starts at 2:00 p.m.

Oops! Sorry about the confusion in our first brochure, distributed in the January/February newsletter. We are bowling at Oak Lanes in Livonia, not Beech Lanes in Redford.

Everyone should bring their TS child and friends to bowl, because it's fun!!! But I also hope Tourette families remember how crucial this event is to the Association. this is our major fund-raiser for the entire year.

Thank you to those families who can't bowl on the 11th and sent a donation. Parents and Educators Seminar

If you are not registered yet, send in the form and money immediately. By now, we're reaching maximum capacity. Barb Schmatz is busily filling each workshop with preregistered attendees. She could still use some help on the committee. I hope all parents took the brochure into their child's school and brought it to the attention of the principal or special education staff. If your child's school is not attending, they are missing a great opportunity.

Ann Arbor and Lansing Meetings
We can't report on their success yet, but thank you to Kim Luckett, of Saline and Tammy Dohm, of Lansing for finding and reserving our meeting sites, handling RSVPs and hosting our information exchange nights on February 17 and 24. Vice-President Michelle and I attended, spoke, discussed I.E.P.s, answered many questions, gave out printed information by the pound and, most importantly, introduced all TS families who attended to each other. Most had never met another family dealing with Tourette Syndrome in their own communities.

We are planning one of these meetings in Flint in late spring and would like to schedule the Bay City/Saginaw area in June or July. We just need a family to host it and find an appropriate meeting site. We will do the rest.

Next two months
I hope to meet/see all of you at the Bowl-A-Thon or Parents/Educators Seminar. Then TSA staff and I are taking a break.

Your very proud President,
