Adults with TS get together

We can now say that we have successfully had our first Adults With TS Retreat. It was held at our Educators/ Parents Conference on April 7, 2000. The day was truly a day to remember. I am at a loss for words to explain the feelings that I am left with. Getting together and sharing information and feelings with others who share the same experiences is, in my mind, a blessing. To be able to hear other adults talk about their experiences in how they live, have lived, deal, have dealt with TS and know deep down to the depths of your being exactly how they feel or have felt is a feeling of true empowerment. Even though I know that there are others out there who have TS and share things the same as I do doesn't even come. My wish is that we will be able to do this again in the next couple of years. In fact, I would love to see this event happen every two years, not only for the sake of adults, but for all of us.
